Anne-Marie Pedersen is educated at the painting department of Aarhus Academy of Fine Arts 1988-1992. Debut in 1993 at Charlottenborg's Spring Exhibition with oil paintings on canvas.
In painting she is concerned with the coloristic. Aims to emphasize the color tones and their mutual influences. Color has a special spatiality. Special color clashes can form a space that is something different from the perspectival spaciality.
In her practice, the painting on canvas flows beyond the frame and materializes, for example, in painted felt objects (KH7artspace 2025) or floating brushstrokes (Socle du Monde Biennale 2022).
Project: Polychromatic Quintessence: An immersive systematic registration of tiny and very precise coloristic details on a site. The project is site-specific and becomes a coloristic analysis of a place.
Exhibitions and permanent works in Denmark, Japan, England, Germany, Australia, Hungary and Norway.
