Flowerpainting

I maleriet er jeg mest optaget af det koloristiske. Jeg vil gerne understrege farvetonerne og deres indbyrdes påvirkninger. Farven har en særlig rumlighed. Særlige farvesammenstød kan danne et rum, som er noget andet end det perspektiviske rum. Det er dette rum jeg arbejder med at få til opstå.
Malerierne kan også være bygget op over et slags skelet, som består af tegnede streger eller fragmenter af tegnede streger. Motivet kan være noget levende organisk voksende eller en konstruktion.

Anne-Marie Pedersen's artistic practice has a strong coloristic focus. The intention is to emphasize the color tones and their mutual influences. The experience of colours having a specific kind of spatiality is the basis of her artistic practice. Specific color clashes can create a space that differs from perspective space. It is this space she strives to create.To provide enough room for this coloristic phenomenon to unfold, the drawn line must partly vanish. Hidden in the paintings, fragments of drawn lines occur, organically growing motifs or constructions.
